Course Objectives
This course aims to introduce students to the latest advances and innovations in the Financial Industry through a series of online presentations by internationally renowned industry and academic experts.
Learning Outcomes
After having taken this course, participants will be able to/are expected to know or understand (knowledge-based outcomes):
LO1: Get familiar with long risk premia across major asset classes – stocks, bonds and real assets
LO2: Identify and understand the measurement issues associated with private equity fund performance
LO3: Have a broad understanding of the current climate challenges and efforts that the global financial community has made to address these issues
LO4: Understand the effects of physical and transition biodiversity risks on economic activity and asset prices
LO5: Understand the challenges of applying Machine Learning in Finance and the virtue of complexity in return prediction
LO6: Understand the connections between Blockchain and traditional Currency markets
